In an effort to try to ease restrictions credit lenders instead of the Federal Reserve introduced its new term of the loan asset-backed securities Facility (TALF), providing up to $ 200 billion to institutions participating in the issue of consumer and small business debt, like credit card loans, debt and auto loans. Economic data released today:

GDP:
U.S. 3Q GDP revised down 0.5 percentage rate of a drop of 0.3 percent;
U.S. 3Q GDP Consensus fell by 0.6 percentage; 3T Real Final Sales revised to a drop of 1.4 percent rate of decline of 0.8 percent; 3T revised PCE price index to increase by 5.2 by a percentage rate increase of 5.4 percent; 3T revised Purchasing Price Index increased by 4.7 of a percentage rate increase from 4.8 percent; 3T Chain weighted price index unchanged at an increase of 4.2 percent.

Corporate profits:
3Q Earnings of companies fell 3.0 percentage compared with a fall of 0.4 percentage 2Q.

Redbook: Redbook:
U.S. Retail sales fell 1.3 percent during the first three weeks in November from October, according to Redbook Research latest indicator of national retail sales. The fall in the index was compared with a fall 0.7 percentage point specific. The Johnson Redbook Index also showed seasonally adjusted sales in the period decreased 1.1 percent compared with November 2007, on a drop target by 0.5 percent. Redbook said on an unadjusted basis, sales in the week ended Nov. 22 was one 1.4 percent in the same week in 2007.
